The Opportunity
As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial reporting, analysis, and control environment for a portfolio of private equity funds across the US and international markets. This position offers exposure to complex investment structures, cross-border investments, and senior stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day accounting and reporting for a portfolio of private equity funds.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements under US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and validate transaction bookings for investments, quarterly investment valuation and other investment-related information.
- Partner with Fund Controllers and external administrators to review NAVs, investor allocations, and capital activity.
- Support audits, regulatory filings, and investor reporting cycles.
- Collaborate with deal and operations teams on transaction activity, valuations, and capital calls/distributions.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within fund accounting and reporting.
- Conduct regular reporting and analysis for client packs and internal reporting requirements.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or equivalent preferred.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience, ideally within audit, private equity, real estate, or fund administration.
- Strong technical understanding of US GAAP and fund structures.
- Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
