Finance Business Partner

The Foundation exists to enable women in low and middle-income countries to start, sustain and grow successful businesses. Through its pioneering programmes and partnerships, it empowers women entrepreneurs to access the skills, networks and confidence they need to fulfil their potential, create opportunities for others, and drive inclusive economic growth.

As the Foundation enters an important new phase under the leadership of Executive Director Kate Mulhearn, it is refocusing its work to remain relevant, impactful and financially sustainable in a changing global context. The Finance Business Partner will play a key role in supporting the Foundation's financial sustainability and effectiveness during this crucial period. Reporting to the Executive Director (formerly the Director of Finance and Operations), this is a broad and hands-on role responsible for ensuring sound financial management, clear insight, and excellent partnership across teams.

This role will take ownership of day-to-day financial management and analysis. You'll be trusted to bring structure, rigour and proactive insight to the organisation's finances, helping strengthen its foundations and enable informed, strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as a business partner to programme, fundraising and operations teams
• Leading on management accounting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Preparing monthly management reports and supporting financial decision-making
• Supporting the annual budgeting and reforecasting cycles
• Managing the relationship with the outsourced bookkeeping provider and overseeing a smooth transition to a new supplier
• Reviewing and improving financial processes, controls and reporting systems
• Building the financial understanding and confidence of non-finance colleagues

This is both a strategic and practical role - ideal for someone who enjoys modelling, analysis and partnering with teams, while being happy to get into the operational detail. You'll be working closely with senior decision-makers and helping shape the Foundation's financial future at a time of real transformation.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong management accounting and financial planning experience
• Excellent skills in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
• The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and confidently to non-specialists
• A proactive, can-do approach - comfortable working autonomously in a small, fast-moving team
• Experience improving processes and systems
• An understanding of or interest in the charity sector and fund accounting (desirable, not essential)

Above all, you'll be self-motivated, practical and curious - able to work independently while contributing to a supportive and collaborative culture.

Key Details

• Salary: c. £50,000 pa (negotiable depending on experience)
• Contract: Permanent (contract will also be considered)
• Hours: Full-time (flexible; four or five days per week, compressed hours considered)
• Location: Hybrid - typically two days per week in the Central London office
• Start: As soon as possible
