Role Details:

As a Senior Financial Crime Adviser, you'll provide expert guidance on a broad range of financial crime matters, supporting the business with pragmatic, risk-based advice. Working within a collaborative global team, you'll advise on AML, sanctions, client onboarding, regulatory developments and wider financial crime risks across an international business.

This role offers significant variety, stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives within a sophisticated regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day advisory support on AML, sanctions and wider financial crime matters.
  • Assess financial crime risks associated with new business, client onboarding and ongoing engagements.
  • Review complex referrals and provide commercially focused, risk-based recommendations.
  • Support the development, implementation and enhancement of financial crime policies, procedures and controls.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise the business on emerging financial crime risks.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across legal, compliance and business teams to ensure regulatory obligations are met.
  • Deliver training and guidance to colleagues on financial crime requirements and best practice.
  • Contribute to strategic projects aimed at strengthening the firm's financial crime framework.

Experience Required

  • 3-5 years' experience within Financial Crime, AML, Compliance or Risk.
  • Legal Services experience
  • Strong knowledge of sanctions, client due diligence and broader financial crime regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the confidence to advise senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex regulatory issues in a practical, commercial manner.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A law degree is advantageous but not essential.
