We are partnering with a leading global charitable organisation to appoint a Senior Finance Business Partner to support high-impact financial decision-making across complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
This is a senior-level role focused on project leadership, complex financial due diligence, with a strong emphasis on commercial thinking and cross-functional influence in an international environment.
The role suits a high-calibre, qualified finance professional (4 years PQE) who combines strong technical grounding with a pragmatic, commercial approach and experience operating in large, matrix organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex financial due diligence across major projects, funding decisions, and strategic initiatives.
- Take ownership of or support the running of multi-workstream finance projects, ensuring robust financial governance and delivery.
- Conduct risk-aware financial assessments, identifying exposures and recommending practical mitigation strategies.
- Apply strong commercial judgement to evaluate commercial terms across all areas of the organisation, ensuring value for money and financial sustainability.
- Support senior stakeholders with business cases, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Provide insight into international operations and cross-border financial considerations, where applicable.
- Oversee targeted month-end input and review, ensuring accuracy and integrity of reporting (without owning the close process).
- Strengthen financial controls and drive improvements in process efficiency and governance.
- Partner effectively across functions, influencing decision-making at senior level.
Skills & Experience
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with 4 years post-qualified experience.
- Proven experience delivering or supporting complex financial due diligence and project-based finance work.
- Strong understanding of commercial terms, contract structures, and value assessment across diverse areas.
- Confident operating in month-end environments, with strong technical accounting awareness.
- Advanced Excel skills; proficient in PowerPoint and financial systems (ERP/reporting tools).
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and risk awareness.
