Senior Finance Analyst | 12-month FTC | up to £75,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly capable FP&A Senior Analyst to join an established Commercial Finance function within a major UK retail business. This role sits at the centre of the finance function, supporting enterprise-wide planning, performance management, commercial reporting and executive-level insight. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial analysis, corporate reporting and strategic performance materials for senior leadership, executive committees and board-level governance.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality financial reports, executive presentations and board-level materials, ensuring clear, accurate and commercially focused insight for senior leadership.
Lead the coordination of monthly performance reporting, quarterly business reviews and finance inputs into executive, board, audit and remuneration committee packs.
Support budgeting, forecasting and multi-year planning cycles, working closely with finance business partners and commercial teams to consolidate inputs, analyse trends and provide meaningful commentary.
Develop and improve management information, KPI reporting and performance dashboards, ensuring consistent, automated and scalable reporting across the organisation.
Provide analysis across key retail performance areas including sales, margin, costs, headcount, workforce planning, investment and operational performance.
Partner with commercial, analytics, HR and corporate functions to ensure financial and operational data is accurate, aligned and supports effective decision-making.
Build and maintain financial models to support planning, scenario analysis, business performance reviews and strategic decision-making.
Champion reporting standardisation, automation and continuous improvement across finance, helping to establish a single source of truth for financial and performance data.
Support strategic projects, transformation initiatives and ad hoc analysis as required, providing clear insight into risks, opportunities and business performance drivers.
Essential Skills & Experience
- ACA qualified.
- 2 years industry experience.
- Strong FP&A, commercial finance or management reporting experience and experience working within retail, consumer, FMCG or another fast-paced multi-site environment would be highly advantageous.
- Experience producing reports, packs and documents for senior leadership or executive audiences.
- Ability to simplify complex financial and operational information into clear, concise insight.
- High levels of professionalism, integrity and credibility.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
