An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a high-profile commercial organisation.
This role sits within a Commercial Finance team and requires someone who can quickly get up to speed, work independently and build strong relationships across the business. You will play a key role in month-end reporting, revenue accounting, budgeting and forecasting, while partnering with senior commercial stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage revenue recognition and associated accounting processes.
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Account for overheads, sales bonus and commission-related costs.
- Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis and financial commentary.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and risks and opportunities (R&O) reporting.
- Partner with Commercial and Sales teams, providing financial guidance and responding to business queries.
- Present monthly financial performance, cost updates and forecast positions to senior stakeholders.
- Liaise with external partners and third-party providers to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting and financial controls.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience.
- Proven management accounting experience within a commercial finance environment.
- Strong month-end close experience is essential.
- Excellent understanding of revenue recognition, accruals, prepayments and cost accounting.
- Confident managing stakeholder relationships across finance and non-finance teams.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.
