Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a high-profile commercial organisation.

This role sits within a Commercial Finance team and requires someone who can quickly get up to speed, work independently and build strong relationships across the business. You will play a key role in month-end reporting, revenue accounting, budgeting and forecasting, while partnering with senior commercial stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Manage revenue recognition and associated accounting processes.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Account for overheads, sales bonus and commission-related costs.
• Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis and financial commentary.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and risks and opportunities (R&O) reporting.
• Partner with Commercial and Sales teams, providing financial guidance and responding to business queries.
• Present monthly financial performance, cost updates and forecast positions to senior stakeholders.
• Liaise with external partners and third-party providers to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting and financial controls.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Proven management accounting experience within a commercial finance environment.
• Strong month-end close experience is essential.
• Excellent understanding of revenue recognition, accruals, prepayments and cost accounting.
• Confident managing stakeholder relationships across finance and non-finance teams.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.
