Altum is currently working with an international climate-focused foundation that delivers significant grant funding and regranting programmes across a wide range of global initiatives.
They are looking for an Interim Finance Business Partner to join the team for an initial three-month assignment at an exciting stage of growth and development within the organisation.
This is a collaborative role sitting closely alongside Grants and Portfolio teams, supporting the financial management of complex and high-impact grant programmes. The environment is fast-moving, evolving and very team-oriented, so they are looking for someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, bringing clarity to financial information and helping teams make well-informed decisions.
The successful candidate will play a key role across budgeting, forecasting, grant reporting and financial oversight, while also supporting improvements to processes and ways of working as the organisation continues to grow.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with Grants and Portfolio teams to support financial decision-making
- Managing grant budgets, forecasting and tracking commitments
- Supporting financial reporting and analysis across grant programmes
- Advising on grant financial management, including donor restrictions and budget considerations
- Supporting grant-related processes, systems and reporting improvements
- Working collaboratively with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the organisation
The organisation is open-minded on background and qualifications and is primarily focused on finding someone who can add value quickly, work accurately and build strong working relationships across the business.
You will likely have:
- Experience in a Finance Business Partnering role within the charity, NGO, foundation or international development sector
- Exposure to grants finance and/or regranting environments
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and reporting experience
- A proactive and adaptable approach
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Confidence working in organisations where processes and structures are still developing
An accounting qualification is not essential. Candidates who are qualified by experience will be considered.
The role is hybrid, with some central-London office attendance expected initially, though there is increasing flexibility around this.
Interviews are taking place early next week, with the aim of someone starting shortly afterwards.
If this sounds of interest, please apply or get in touch directly for further details.
