Altum Consulting are partnering with a fast-growing global technology business to recruit an Intercompany Accountant for their expanding finance team in central Warsaw. Following a period of exceptional growth, the business is investing heavily in building a best-in-class Shared Services Centre (SSC) to support its international operations.

As an Intercompany Accountant, you will be responsible for managing intercompany accounting activities across multiple international entities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, reconciled efficiently and settled on time. You'll work closely with Finance, Tax and Legal teams to maintain strong financial controls, support transfer pricing requirements and contribute to continuous process improvements as the business continues to grow.

Role:

• Process intercompany transactions across multiple international entities, including service charges, management fees, royalties and cost allocations.
• Record, reconcile and monitor intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely settlement of balances.
• Manage intercompany accounts receivable and payable ledgers while proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and post intercompany journals in accordance with accounting policies and group reporting requirements.
• Support the month-end close process by completing accurate reconciliations, variance analysis and intercompany eliminations.
• Prepare detailed reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation for Finance leadership, external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and enhance intercompany billing processes, ensuring robust documentation and efficient workflows.
• Support transfer pricing activities by preparing intercompany agreements, maintaining documentation and assisting with transfer pricing analysis across multiple jurisdictions.
• Maintain comprehensive audit trails for all intercompany transactions, balances and supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve controls and drive continuous improvements across the intercompany function.
• Support external and internal audit processes by providing accurate, timely and well-documented financial information.
• Communicate complex intercompany accounting issues clearly and effectively to finance and non-finance stakeholders across the global business.

You'll be/have:

• Fluent English is essential; additional European languages would be beneficial.
• Previous experience in an Intercompany Accountant, General Ledger Accountant or Record-to-Report (R2R) accounting role.
• Experience working within a multinational business or Shared Services Centre environment.
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting, reconciliations and month-end close processes.
• Experience using ERP systems/excel.
• High attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across international teams.
