We are proud to be partnering with a well-established cultural organisation to recruit an Interim Finance Business Partner on a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile institution at an exciting stage of its development, supporting senior stakeholders across a diverse portfolio of projects and operational departments.
Working closely with the Finance Business Partnering Manager, you will play a key role in delivering insightful financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering support. The successful candidate will be confident working with non-finance stakeholders, providing commercial challenge and guidance to support effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
- Partner with budget holders to monitor performance, manage budgets, and deliver regular reforecasts.
- Provide financial and non-financial information to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Support the annual budgeting and planning process.
- Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful commentary and recommendations.
- Assist with business cases, options appraisals, and project-related financial analysis.
- Develop and improve financial reporting tools and management information.
- Support project managers in monitoring funding and ensuring robust financial governance.
- Deliver financial guidance and training to non-finance stakeholders where required.
Candidate Requirements
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with finance systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance audiences.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Experience
Candidates must have previous experience working within the arts, museum, gallery, heritage, or wider cultural sector. Applications without relevant sector experience will not be considered.
