Senior Finance Manager (R2R)

Altum Consulting are partnering with an established Media business based in central Amsterdam to recruit to a Finance Manager (Record-to-Report) This role is for a 12-month contract due to internal secondments.

This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and well-controlled financial reporting while managing both onshore and offshore delivery teams. This is a key role supporting finance transformation, process standardisation, and scalability initiatives.

Role

• Oversee the end-to-end monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and account reconciliations performed by offshore teams
• Perform detailed reviews, variance analysis, and identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes
• Provide financial analytics and insights to key stakeholders to support decision-making
• Support statutory audits, US financial audits, and internal operational audits
• Act as a trusted business partner to Finance and business stakeholders, maintaining strong knowledge of accounting policies and industry practices
• Resolve queries escalated by onshore and offshore teams in a timely manner
• Review monthly performance metrics with business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
• Manage onshore resources and act as the primary point of contact for offshore teams
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and global accounting policies
• Manage SOX compliance and ensure effective internal controls are maintained
• Identify control risks and implement corrective actions

You'll be/have:

• A proactive finance leader with strong technical accounting knowledge
• Experienced working with offshore global teams in complex, international environments
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international organisation
• Available immediately or within a maximum 1-month notice period
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA, ACA, ACCA, MBA or QBE
