About the Opportunity
An established international organisation is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to support its regional finance operations. This role sits within a collaborative and fast-paced environment supporting multiple commercial business areas across international markets.
The position offers strong exposure to both technical accounting and operational finance, alongside involvement in process improvement, business partnering, and regional reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Operations
Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
Act as a primary finance contact for regional operational teams on technical accounting and reporting matters
Oversee account reconciliation processes and maintain strong financial controls
Monitor and improve compliance with accounting policies and internal procedures
Manage relationships with external shared service providers and ensure delivery of agreed service standards
Support the alignment and standardisation of financial processes across international markets
Maintain data integrity and partner with IT teams to enhance finance systems and reporting controls
Act as a key systems user for enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, supporting improvements and troubleshooting
Support international finance projects including compliance reporting, entity set-ups or closures, and cross-border tax matters
Collaborate with global and regional finance teams to maintain effective legal and financial operating structures
Work closely with operational support teams to facilitate business growth, including infrastructure, systems, and office support
Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as HR, legal, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure smooth operational processes
Review outsourced finance processes (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report) and implement process improvements
Support global finance teams with closing activities and reporting accuracy
Manage overhead budgeting and forecasting processes, partnering with regional finance leads and analysing variance performance
