We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Finance Manager to join a dynamic arts and education institute at an exciting stage of development. This is a key role within the organisation, combining strategic business partnering with hands-on financial management and team leadership. There is potential for this position to go permanent.
Working closely with senior leaders across academic, creative and operational departments, you will play a key role in supporting decision-making, ensuring strong financial governance, and helping the organisation deliver its artistic and educational ambitions sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the organisation
- Prepare and oversee year-end accounts and support the external audit process
- Provide insightful financial analysis and business partnering to budget holders and senior stakeholders
- Produce timely management accounts, financial reports and KPIs
- Support strategic planning, funding applications and financial modelling
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies and controls
- Manage, mentor and develop a small finance team
- Drive continuous improvement across finance systems and processes
About You
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical finance expertise and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be confident working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and able to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance colleagues.

- Significant experience in financial management, budgeting and year-end reporting
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing or mentoring staff
- Excellent analytical and organisational abilities
