An international values-led organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Financial Planning & Analysis to join its finance leadership team on an initial six-month fixed-term contract. There is genuine potential for the role to be extended or become permanent.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, driving strategic decision-making through robust financial planning, and leading high-performing teams in a complex, international environment.
The Role
Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, you will lead the global FP&A function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and business performance reporting. You'll also provide strategic oversight of global payroll operations, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement across multiple regions.
Working closely with senior leaders across finance, people, fundraising and operational teams, you'll deliver insightful analysis that supports organisational strategy and long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the global budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
Deliver insightful monthly business performance reporting to senior leadership.
Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Lead, mentor and develop the FP&A team, creating a culture of continuous improvement.
Partner with stakeholders across multiple international functions to drive financial performance.
Work collaboratively with finance colleagues to ensure accurate financial reporting and year-end delivery.
Drive improvements to financial systems, reporting and planning processes.
Provide strategic financial advice on risks, opportunities and organisational performance.
Oversee global payroll operations, ensuring compliance and governance across multiple jurisdictions.
About You
We're looking for an experienced qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with:
Significant experience leading FP&A within a complex organisation.
Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling expertise.
Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.
Experience managing and developing finance teams.
A collaborative, proactive leadership style with excellent communication skills.
Experience overseeing payroll or working closely with payroll teams is advantageous.
International or multi-entity experience would be beneficial.
Experience within the charity, NGO or not-for-profit sector would be welcomed but is not essential. Candidates from commercial or private sector backgrounds with strong strategic FP&A experience are encouraged to apply.
