Finance Manager

About the Role:

A fast-growing retail & consumer goods business is hiring a hands-on Finance Manager to play a critical role in a major UK & EU transformation.

This is not a BAU role. It's for someone who thrives in change, enjoys building and fixing finance processes, and wants real ownership in a lean, fast-paced environment.

You'll work closely with the VP of EU and senior leadership, acting as the financial engine of the business. The role is commercial, detailed and manual in parts, expect heavy use of Excel, modelling and NetSuite.

What you'll do:

• Own monthly management accounts and balance sheet control

• Lead month-end close and reporting

• Analyse margins, KPIs and performance; drive action with the VP of EU

• Manage statutory reporting and external accountants

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cashflow

• Own FX exposure, supplier payments and working capital

• Oversee payroll, VAT (UK/FR/DE) and compliance

• Maintain controls, governance and risk frameworks

• Act as NetSuite lead (users, approvals, controls)

• Develop a small finance team

• Partner with leaders to challenge, influence and support decisions

Key requirements of the role:

Retail experience is essential, including:

• Cost of goods & margin analysis

• Operational retail / consumer products exposure

• Experience working in a changing or restructuring environment

You'll be ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with 3 years PQE, confident partnering with commercial teams while staying hands-on.
