A respected policy think tank focused on strengthening Western security through research and international collaboration is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support a growing portfolio of projects and partnerships.
This role will work across the organisation's operational and funding activity, managing a range of commercial, partner and donor-related agreements across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with leadership, research teams and external partners to ensure contracts are structured, negotiated and managed effectively.
The organisation is expanding its operational capability and this position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping contract management processes within a fast-moving and intellectually rigorous environment. There is also potential for the role to extend or become permanent as the organisation continues to grow.
Key responsibilities
* Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including technology, data and professional services agreements.
* Manage agreements with implementing partners and international collaborators.
* Oversee the lifecycle of contracts from negotiation through delivery and completion.
* Ensure agreements reflect funding arrangements, donor requirements and project deliverables.
* Work closely with finance and leadership teams to coordinate partner payments and project milestones.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including IR35, data protection and intellectual property considerations.
* Maintain and improve contract management systems and processes.
* Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
The ideal candidate
* Strong experience managing commercial contracts and agreements, ideally including technology or data-related contracts.
* Knowledge of UK contract frameworks, with exposure to international or cross-jurisdictional arrangements desirable.
* Experience working with donor-funded or partnership-led projects is beneficial.
* Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
* Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with evolving processes and structures.
