We are pleased to be partnering with a global climate-focussed philanthropic foundation seeking to fill a newly-created vacancy for a Finance Business Partner to support a fast-growing programme. This is a remote role that can be based in the UK or overseas.
The organisation works with funders, campaign groups and communications networks across the world, supporting projects focused on climate and public engagement. Following a period of significant growth, they are continuing to build out their finance team and are looking for someone who can act as a trusted partner to programme leadership.
This is a broad role combining FP&A, business partnering and grant finance. It would suit someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, helping non-finance teams understand the numbers and supporting decision-making in a practical, straightforward way.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for a major international programme
- Work closely with programme leaders and budget holders to provide financial support and insight
- Produce financial analysis, cashflow forecasts and scenario modelling
- Support grant budgeting, donor reporting and compliance processes
- Review grantee financial information and support due diligence work
- Help improve finance processes, reporting and planning across the programme
- Provide guidance and support to non-finance stakeholders across an international team
Key Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in finance business partnering, FP&A or commercial finance
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and analytical skills
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and managing competing priorities
- Able to explain financial information clearly to non-finance audiences
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving and evolving environment
- Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
Experience in a grant-funded, charity or international organisation would be helpful, but the team is also open to strong commercially focused candidates who can adapt quickly and build relationships well.
This is a newly created role within a growing international finance team and offers the opportunity to join an organisation with ambitious plans, strong funding and a genuinely collaborative culture.
