Corporate Accountant

Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 Variable Bonus
We are partnering with a luxury retail brand to identify a Corporate Accountant who combines strong technical expertise with a genuine interest in the fashion and luxury landscape. This role sits at the intersection of financial reporting and commercial insight, supporting both U.S. operations and international consolidation efforts. A passion for luxury fashion and an appreciation for the nuances of the industry are essential to succeed in this environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Financial Planning & Analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close reporting for submission to the global consolidation team
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and capital expenditure reporting, along with required disclosures
- Review monthly close outputs, perform general ledger reconciliations, and deliver detailed variance analysis across P&L and balance sheet accounts
- Conduct sales and gross margin analysis, providing insights to support trading and operational decisions
- Develop financial plans and forecasts in alignment with business objectives
- Prepare and review journal entries, offering guidance to junior team members on accounting treatments and best practices
- Work across multiple financial systems, including SAP, PBCS, JDA, and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
- Proactively identify process improvements and implement more efficient workflows across finance operations
- Anticipate business needs, solve problems independently, and adapt quickly within a dynamic retail environment
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Advanced Excel capabilities, including complex formulas, lookups, and pivot tables; proficiency across Microsoft Office
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial insights clearly
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Exposure to the luxury or fashion sector, ideally within retail or audit environments
- Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for the luxury market, with an understanding of how financial performance connects to brand and customer experience
