We are Parkinson’s UK, the UK’s leading charity dedicated to improving life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s. With more than 55 years of history and 42,000 members, we bring together a powerful community across all four nations. We believe that together we will find a cure, and we are determined to help people live well today.
People affected by Parkinson’s are at the heart of who we are, shaping our ambitions and driving us forward. Around 600 staff and 4,000 active volunteers bring their energy, expertise and commitment to our shared purpose. We are creative, courageous and united in our determination to make change happen. Our Work
We fund research into better treatments and a cure, supporting scientists to turn promising discoveries into breakthroughs. Alongside this, we campaign for better health and care, pushing for access to the specialist services and support that people with Parkinson’s need.
Our information and support services help people navigate the practical and emotional challenges of Parkinson’s. Through our helpline, local groups and online community, we connect people with expert advice, shared experiences and opportunities to stay active. We also work with health and care professionals to improve understanding of Parkinson’s and the quality of care people receive.

Our Finance Team
Our Finance team delivers a vital service to our internal and external customers. We ensure the charity has the financial information it needs to make decisions, supporting and challenging budget holders to get the best for people with Parkinson’s. From procuring services to paying people and getting paid, we keep the organisation running smoothly. Our work supports regulatory compliance, external audit and Board reporting, alongside the financial management of our local groups across all four nations.
We are the engine behind a modern approach to financial management. Our Financial Control, Local Groups, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Procurement teams bring together the expertise to manage transactions, guide the use of funds and align spending with our strategic aims. Together, we are developing our forecasting and budgeting capabilities, simplifying processes, reducing bureaucracy and introducing modern, efficient systems that make it easier for our colleagues and volunteers to do what they do.
