Finance Business Partner

We are delighted to be partnering with Parkinson's UK on a significant finance recruitment campaign as the organisation enters the next stage of its multi-year modernisation programme. As part of this campaign, Parkinson's UK requires three Finance Business Partners to work across fundraising, charitable services and central support functions.

Parkinson's UK funds vital research, campaigns for better care and provides support to people affected by Parkinson's. The charity is in a fortunate position within the sector, with secure funding and the ability to invest in its people, systems and longer-term ambitions in order to best support those affected by Parkinson's.

Following a major directorate restructure that began last year, the most substantial changes have already taken place. The focus is now on building a strong, collaborative finance team, improving systems and processes, and supporting the delivery of an ambitious five-year strategy.

This is an opportunity to join a supportive leadership team at a point when new colleagues will have a genuine say in how the finance function develops, without having to navigate the uncertainty of the initial restructure.

These are broad roles, providing financial insight, constructive challenge and practical support to senior stakeholders. You'll also contribute to the development of new financial systems and processes, helping Finance become a more proactive partner to the wider organisation.

Responsibilities include:

• Working closely with budget holders and senior leaders to provide financial analysis, advice and constructive challenge.
• Supporting annual budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning and business cases.
• Analysing financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and helping stakeholders make informed decisions.
• Developing management information and reporting tools to improve financial understanding.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, budgeting and forecasting.
• Contributing to the implementation of a new finance system, ensuring it meets stakeholders' reporting and planning needs.
• Supporting financial literacy across the organisation, helping non-finance colleagues manage their budgets effectively.

The ideal Finance Business Partners will:

• Be qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Have strong financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting skills, with experience supporting financial planning and decision-making.
• Be able to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and non-finance colleagues, providing constructive challenge and practical advice.
• Communicate financial information clearly and help budget holders understand and manage their budgets.
• Have strong analytical skills and an interest in improving reporting, systems and financial processes.
• Be adaptable and comfortable working in an environment where systems and processes are still developing.
• Bring experience from either the charity or commercial sectors, with an interest in contributing to the work of Parkinson's UK.

Parkinson's UK operates on a hybrid working model, with two days per week required in the Central London offices.
