Director Group Reporting

Altum Consulting are partnering with a private equity backed consumer business to recruit an Interim Director, Group Reporting (6 month project)

This role requires a technically strong, detail-oriented leader with excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of driving high-quality financial reporting while influencing decision-making across the senior leadership team and private equity stakeholders.

Role:

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
• Own the group consolidation process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
• Partner with the CFO and wider executive team to provide insight into financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Manage external audit relationships and ensure all reporting requirements are delivered to the highest standard.
• Maintain and enhance the group's financial reporting controls and processes.
• Deliver technical accounting advice on complex transactions, new standards, and ad hoc projects.
• Drive continuous improvements in systems, processes, and reporting frameworks to support scalability.
• Act as a key point of contact for the private equity sponsor, providing timely and robust financial information.
• Influence and challenge senior stakeholders, ensuring decisions are grounded in accurate financial insight.

You'll be/have:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/CA), trained in a Big 4 audit firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, consolidations and leading group reporting.
• Prior experience in a consumer-facing or private equity-backed business is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence and credibility to challenge and influence senior executives.
• Proactive, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
