Management Accountant

Management Accountant | initial 6-month FTC | up to £65,000 per annum

Altum Consulting are partnering with a leading hospitality business in Central London to recruit a Management Accountant on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. We will consider profiles that are immediately available to interview and start.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality management accounting, forecasting and financial analysis, while working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide meaningful insight into business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts for designated business areas, sites and cost centres, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and month-end close activities.
• Deliver clear variance analysis and commentary against budget, forecast and prior-year performance, with a focus on key hospitality metrics including revenue, labour costs, margins, overheads and controllable costs.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to review business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide financial insight to support decision-making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and planning cycles, working closely with budget holders to review assumptions, manage costs and improve forecast accuracy.
• Track project and investment spend, supporting business cases, financial modelling and post-project performance analysis.
• Produce accurate financial reports and analysis to support senior finance, operational teams and wider business stakeholders.
• Support cashflow forecasting, audit requirements and ad hoc reporting submissions through finance systems.
• Contribute to process improvements, reporting enhancements, dashboard development and wider finance transformation initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

• ACA or CIMA
• At least 1-year PQE
• Strong management accounting, month-end and variance analysis experience
• Experience working in hospitality, leisure, retail, consumer or another multi-site environment would be highly beneficial
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Confidence partnering with operational stakeholders and budget holders
• A proactive approach, with a focus on process improvement and adding commercial value
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
