Defence - Commercial / Procurement. Consultant, Senior Consultant, Manager, Associate Director

A Global Infrastructure Consulting firm is currently growing their Defence Procurement Supply Chain and Commercial team and is hiring for a wide range of vacancies. They are recruiting in offices in Bristol, Reading, London, Cambridge and Plymouth across a range of levels, including Consultant, Senior Consultant, Manager and Associate Director

They are one of the leading providers of consulting services to the Infrastructure, Natural Resources, Government and Real Estate sectors, among others, and ranked highly on the Sunday Times Top Track 250.

Their Commercial, Supply Chain and Procurement team, in this sector, supports iconic and household names across Central Government and Defence. This team currently sits at around 140 people nationwide and are growing due to increased client demand, an improved value proposition, and business strategy that prioritises growth.

Their client work and therefore responsibilities of the role will include:

• Developing and delivering business cases, commercial strategies, and contract approaches that align with cost efficiency and evolving regulatory changes
• Contract Management and monitoring and bid and tender evaluation, aimed at delivering enduring value-for-money solutions.
• Improving supplier performance issues, successes, and contractual risk.
• Managing complex, business critical or strategically important negotiations.
• Development and implementation of effective contract and supplier management strategies and processes to extract maximum value for clients.
• Innovation and sustainable procurement and supply chain methodologies.

The team is open to and houses a range of specialisms in this area, including:

• Digital Supply Chain, Software and Digital Procurement
• NEC Contracts
• Commercial Managers, Quantity Surveyors
• Capital Projects and Programmes
• Procurement and Supply Chain Strategy, Transformation and Delivery

The successful candidates will likely come from the below background, or similar:

• Commercial, Procurement or Supply Chain Graduate Schemes or related roles.
• Another consulting firm, the defence industry or either the wider public sector or other asset intensive industries.
• Be security cleared or eligible for security clearance
• Have a form of procurement or commercial related qualifications
• Have experience working with internal stakeholders or external clients on high calibre and complex supply chain, procurement or commercial programmes.
• Be open to a hybrid working pattern

Salaries are negotiable between £45,000 and £110,000 basic package
