Altum Consulting is partnering with a leading charity to recruit a Transformation Delivery Manager to deliver a new operating model across its Data & Technology function.

Alongside a major digital transformation, the organisation is reshaping how data and technology support its wider strategic ambitions. This includes strengthening capabilities, responding to emerging technologies and ensuring the function can meet changing business needs.

Working closely with the CTO, Chief Data Officer and executive sponsor, you will translate operating model design into practical delivery, carrying the programme through implementation and embedding new ways of working. This is a senior, hands-on opportunity to influence how an entire function operates within a purpose-led organisation.

The role

Partnering with an external specialist consultancy leading the organisation design work, you will bring structure and momentum to the programme, ensuring decisions translate into coordinated action.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and managing an integrated delivery plan across organisation design, governance, capability development and change.
• Coordinating workstreams, managing dependencies and maintaining oversight of milestones, risks and decisions.
• Running programme governance and steering committees, ensuring clear reporting and timely escalation.
• Bringing together senior stakeholders across technology, data and the wider organisation.
• Planning workshops and building an effective communications and change approach to support colleagues through the transition.
• Translating external recommendations into achievable implementation plans and embedding changes to responsibilities and ways of working.
• Defining success measures and tracking improvements in organisational effectiveness and delivery performance.

The role has no direct reports, so you will need to be comfortable driving delivery through influence while remaining closely involved in the detail.

About you

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager or Transformation Delivery Lead with a strong track record of delivering operating model and organisational change within a data or technology function.

You will bring:

• A practical understanding of data and technology operating models, governance and capability requirements.
• Experience taking organisational change from design through implementation and adoption.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to work across technical specialists, organisation design experts and executive leadership.
• Experience coordinating external partners and multiple interdependent workstreams.
• Excellent communication and change management skills, with a sensitive approach to changes affecting people.
• The confidence to work through ambiguity and maintain delivery momentum as priorities evolve.

Charity experience is not essential. Experience within other complex organisations is welcomed, alongside an appreciation of working in a purpose-led environment.
