Junior Accountants, Initial 6 month contracts, ASAP start

Location: Houston, Texas
Contract: 6 months initially, with potential to convert to permanent
Contract Rate: Approximately $225-$325 per day doe
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days in office)

Altum Consulting are partnering with a rapidly growing international technology business that is expanding its finance function in Houston. As the business continues to scale internationally, they are building out their finance team and are looking for talented junior finance professionals to join the organisation at an exciting stage of growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within a fast-paced, international technology environment, with the potential for the role to convert to a permanent position following the initial contract.

The Roles:

We are looking for a motivated finance professionals with experience across areas such as general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, intercompany accounting and general accounting.

You will work as part of a growing finance team, supporting the day-to-day accounting operation and ensuring financial information is accurate, timely and well maintained.

The roles will suit candidates with approximately 1-4 years of finance or accounting experience who are looking to develop their careers within a growing international business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Support general ledger accounting activities
• Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Support the preparation of financial reports and analysis
• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records
• Assist with AP, AR and wider accounting activities where required
• Work with colleagues across the wider international finance function
• Support process improvements as the finance team continues to develop
• Ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are consistently met

We are looking for candidates who have:

• 1-4 years' experience within an accounting or finance environment
• Experience with GL, month-end, reconciliations or intercompany accounting
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Good Excel skills
• The ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A willingness to learn and develop within a growing business
• Experience within a multi-entity or international environment would be advantageous
