System Accountant

A leading London-based social care provider is seeking an experienced Systems Accountant to take ownership of their Unit4 ERP system at a pivotal stage of transformation.

With Unit4 going live in April 2026, this role will play a critical part in final-stage implementation and then transition into the ongoing system lead post go-live. This is a high-visibility role bridging Finance and IT within a values-led, mission-driven organisation.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Accounting & Reporting, you will:

• Support final implementation of Unit4 ERP modules
• Lead data migration validation and UAT support
• Deliver user training and embed system best practice
• Become the internal SME and primary contact for Unit4
• Own system performance, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Develop reporting dashboards to enhance financial insight
• Strengthen controls and optimise finance processes
• Drive continuous system and reporting improvements

This is an opportunity to move beyond BAU finance and take genuine ownership of a business-critical ERP platform.

Candidate Profile

We are looking to speak with candidates who have:

• Proven experience supporting or administering Unit4
• Experience in ERP implementation or system upgrades
• Strong financial accounting knowledge and part-qualified accountant
• Experience with data migration and UAT

• Housing, social care, public sector or not-for-profit background is highly desirable
