Senior Accountant, Private Equity

Altum Consulting are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join a join a leading international private equity investor known for its collaborative culture, dynamic growth and commitment to excellence.

The successful candidate will provide crucial information in the form of reports to investors and investment teams and be trusted to review and validate a broad range of transactions and other information in relation to investments using GAAP.

This role will suit a Qualified Accountant with a minimum 3 years of working experience in an accounting related role, ideally in financial services or a complex international business.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and validate transaction bookings for investments, quarterly investment valuation and other investment-related information used for accounting, reporting and monitoring investments.
• Gather relevant information recording transactions on portfolio system.
• Perform and review pre-defined analyses and checks necessary to ensure correct recording.
• Prepare, review and analyse monthly/quarterly financial statements, capital accounts and other reporting for investors and management.
• Review and analyse a broad range of reports prepared by Staff Accountants
• Provide financial and other deal related information and analysis to international teams pre and post deal process.

You'll be/have:

• Education & Certificates - Bachelor / master's degree in business administration or in business economics, ideally with qualified accounting certification.
• Excellent understanding of US GAAP and IFRS guidelines, including the ability to research specific accounting treatments.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, international environment.
