Resource Mobilisation Lead
location: België

salary: £70,000.00 - £80,000 per annum
сonsultant: Robert Anderson

We are pleased to be partnering with Soriva, a newly established international foundation, to recruit a Resources Mobilisation Lead to oversee its donor grant management, reporting and stewardship.
Based in Belgium, Soriva works with grassroots climate movements and philanthropic funders to support collective action towards a socially just, zero-carbon future. Its work focuses on strengthening and connecting climate movements, supporting frontline organisations and helping funders work together more effectively.
Although Soriva is a newly established organisation, it builds on an established history of work and relationships with major philanthropic funders. With a team of approximately 30 people working internationally, the foundation is now developing its internal structure and recruiting its first dedicated Resources Mobilisation Lead.
Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, this person will take responsibility for managing Soriva's existing portfolio of approximately 15 philanthropic grants, ensuring that donor submissions, reporting and compliance requirements are delivered accurately and on time.
This is primarily a grants management and stewardship role rather than a fundraising or new business development position. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across programmes, finance and monitoring and evaluation, as well as directly with grant management contacts at major international foundations.
The Resources Mobilisation Lead will be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day administration and stewardship of Soriva's existing philanthropic grants, including reporting deadlines, renewals and compliance requirements.
- Coordinating donor grant submissions, ensuring all necessary documentation, financial information and programme updates are prepared and submitted on time.
- Writing donor reports and narratives, drawing on information provided by programme teams, finance colleagues and the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team.
- Acting as a key operational contact for donors, maintaining relationships with grants management teams and responding to queries and requests.
- Reviewing grant agreements, monitoring contractual obligations and ensuring donor requirements are understood and met internally.
- Working closely with the Head of Finance on grant budgets, financial reporting and compliance.
- Managing donor reporting portals, uploading documentation and maintaining accurate grant records.
- Developing and improving grant management processes, reporting calendars and systems as Soriva establishes its internal operations.
- Supporting the wider development function and taking on additional responsibilities as the team continues to grow.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have strong experience managing and reporting on philanthropic grants within an international foundation, NGO or other grant-funded organisation.
- Understand the requirements and expectations of major philanthropic donors, with experience managing grant agreements, compliance and reporting.
- Be an excellent writer, able to turn programme information and technical updates into clear, accurate donor reports and narratives.
- Be highly organised and comfortable managing multiple reporting requirements, deadlines and relationships.
- Have the maturity and communication skills to work directly with donors and build effective relationships with colleagues across different teams.
- Be comfortable working independently within a fully remote, international organisation.
- Be practical, adaptable and willing to help develop processes and take on responsibilities beyond the immediate remit of the role.
- Have excellent written and spoken English.
Experience working with major climate funders would be advantageous, although direct experience in the climate sector is not essential. Soriva is particularly interested in candidates who understand and are motivated by social movements, grassroots organisations and the role of philanthropy in supporting social change.
An interest in using AI and other technology to improve reporting and administrative processes would also be welcomed.
This is a rare opportunity to join a relatively new organisation with established donor relationships and help shape how its grants management and development function operates. The role will initially report to the Deputy Executive Director, with an expectation that it will move under a Head of Development once that position is established.
Location: Fully remote, with a preference for candidates within three hours of Central European Time (CET). International travel for team meetings and retreats will be required approximately three times per year.
Contract: Full-time, two-year renewable contract.
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience and location, with a location-based allowance and benefits package.
Altum Consulting and Soriva are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.
