Grant Reconciliation Officer

Altum Consulting is proud to be partnering with a global, non-profit organisation dedicated to improving quality of life and reducing poverty in its search for a temporary Reconciliation Officer to provide support with grant reconciliations across a portfolio of donor-funded projects.

The role will focus on ensuring a clear reconciliation trail between grant income received, expenditure incurred, payments made to partners, and balances remaining - all aligned with donor-approved budgets and internal records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and update Excel-based grant reconciliation templates.

• Perform line-by-line reconciliations of income and expenditure across three systems.

• Identify and flag discrepancies between systems or documents.

• Ensure supporting documentation is clearly referenced, organised, and filed.

• Liaise with colleagues to clarify and resolve issues where needed.

About You:

• Part or fully qualified accountant.

• Highly methodical with strong attention to detail.

• Confident user of Excel (including complex formulas and reconciliation processes).

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working with grant-funded projects and donor reporting (ideally within the NGO or international development context).

This is a hybrid role which requires 1-2 days in the office.
