Management Accountant

Altum Consulting are recruiting for a part qualified/newly qualified Accountant to join an established media business in central London. This role will focus on overhead cost management across UK and US entities, playing a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and robust controls across the business.

As part of a collaborative finance function, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, contributing to both day-to-day financial operations and strategic planning through budgeting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee overhead cost reporting for UK and US entities.
• Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, and general ledger postings relating to overheads.
• Monitor actual costs against budget and forecast, providing insightful variance analysis.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle, working with senior leaders to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
• Partner with operational and senior stakeholders to challenge and control overhead spend.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, reporting, and controls.
• Contribute to adhoc analysis and projects as required by the business.

About You:

• Part Qualified/Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Strong technical understanding of accruals, prepayments, and cost accounting.
• Strong excel skills
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Confident communicator, able to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
