We are pleased to be partnering with a globally focused NGO as it builds its new UK base and seeks a Development & Communications Manager to lead fundraising, bid development, impact reporting and strategic communications.
About the role
Reporting to the COO, you will run a combined development and communications function: managing fundraising pipelines, coordinating bids, producing high-quality materials and supporting strategic messaging. You'll work with senior leadership and an external strategic communications advisor to shape narratives, identify opportunities and strengthen the organisation's external presence. You will also lead impact reporting and support grant reporting processes.
Key responsibilities
Fundraising & Development
Manage and maintain a pipeline of fundraising prospects.
Coordinate and contribute to bid writing, including occasional commercial tenders.
Prepare briefing packs and follow-up for donor and partner meetings.
Research prospects and secure introductions through networks.
Produce high-quality fundraising materials and collateral.
Maintain an effective CRM and steward donor relationships.
Act as operational point of contact for funders and consortium partners.
Impact Measurement & Reporting
Support development of an impact measurement framework.
Produce clear, high-quality impact reports for stakeholders.
Work with finance and programme teams on grant reporting.
Support communication of partner outputs to aid fundraising.
Communications
Contribute to delivery of the stakeholder communications programme.
Work with senior leadership and advisors to refine messaging.
Manage online presence and editorialise content.
Monitor digital performance and engagement metrics.
Produce written deliverables and communications materials.
The ideal candidate will bring
5-7 years' experience in fundraising, development, comms or external relations.
Experience managing a fundraising pipeline and preparing bids.
Excellent writing and content-creation skills.
Experience with grant management and donor reporting.
Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and external partners.
Strong organisation, initiative and professionalism.
Experience with HNWI/family office fundraising (desirable).
Interest in strategic communications and impact reporting.
Passion for the mission and the right to work in the UK.
