Interim Head of Consolidations & Reporting (ASAP start)

Altum Consulting are recruiting for an experienced Interim Head of Consolidations and Reporting to join a dynamic business based in central London. The successful candidate will take immediate ownership of the function and lead the development and management of all Group reporting/consolidation processes.

Role Overview:
Operating at Group level you will be the key point of contact for all matters related to financial consolidations, reporting, and compliance with IFRS and US GAAP. This is a hands-on, strategic role where you will establish and enhance the Group consolidation function from the ground up. You will work closely with senior leadership and external auditors, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant consolidated financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the setup and development of the Group consolidation function.
• Manage the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Act as the primary liaison for external auditors during statutory and regulatory audits.
• Drive standardisation, automation, and process improvements across all consolidation activities.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to business units and finance teams on complex consolidation issues.
• Ensure accurate reporting of intercompany balances, eliminations, and adjustments.
• Support senior leadership with Group-level financial insights and analysis.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.

You'll be/have:

• A Qualified Accountant (top 6) with extensive experience in IFRS and US GAAP consolidations at Group level.
• Proven track record of setting up consolidation functions from scratch in growing businesses.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to advise on complex issues.
• Hands-on experience managing audits and dealing with external auditors.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
