Group Reporting Accountant

Group Reporting Accountant (OneStream Implementation) | initial 5-month contract, £500 to £600 per day (Inside IR35)

Altum Consulting are partnering with a hospitality group to recruit for a technically strong and detailed Group Reporting Accountant. This individual will play a key role in the successful implementation of the OneStream platform, bridging the gap between finance, reporting and systems transformation, ensuring that consolidation processes, reporting structures and financial controls are accurately translated into the new solution.

The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on consolidation experience and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver a best-in-class reporting environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Consolidation & Reporting

• Support the design and configuration of group consolidation processes within OneStream.

• Define statutory reporting requirements and support ad-hoc financial analysis.

• Validate consolidation logic, intercompany eliminations, FX translation and ownership structures.

• Assist in building standardised financial statements, dashboards and KPI reporting packs.

OneStream Implementation Support

• Work closely with implementation partners, finance stakeholders and IT teams to translate business needs into system requirements.

• Contribute to the development of data integration workflows, chart of accounts alignment and metadata structures.

• Support testing cycles (SIT and UAT), including test script creation, execution and defect resolution.

• Assist in building and validating calculation rules, workflows and business logic.

Data & Process Governance

• Ensure data quality, completeness and accuracy across all reporting entities.

• Help define governance frameworks for master data, reporting hierarchies and consolidation processes.

• Document processes, controls and system configurations to support audit and compliance requirements.

Change Management & Training

• Develop training materials and deliver user training sessions for finance teams.

• Support the transition from legacy systems to OneStream, including cutover planning and go-live support.

• Act as a subject-matter expert for consolidation and reporting during and after implementation.

Skills & Experience Required

Technical & Functional

• Strong knowledge of group consolidation principles (IFRS/GAAP), intercompany processes and financial reporting.

• Experience with consolidation or EPM tools (OneStream preferred; HFM, SAP BPC, Tagetik or similar also valuable).

• Understanding of data structures, chart of accounts and financial systems integration.

• Ability to interpret and document business requirements.

Professional

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

• Experience in group finance, reporting or consolidation roles.

• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across finance and technical teams.
