Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant | £350 to £450 per day (outside IR35) | initial 6-month contract, immediately available candidates only | hybrid

Altum Consulting are partnering with a well-established technology business, seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the finance team through audit on an initial 6-month contract.

This is a hands-on BAU role suited to a recently qualified accountant looking to gain further exposure within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the year-end and external audit process
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Assisting with statutory accounts and financial reporting
• Managing month-end close activities
• Liaising with auditors and key internal stakeholders
• Supporting BAU financial accounting activities across the team
• Ensuring strong financial controls and compliance processes are maintained

Candidate Profile

• ACA, ideally trained within a Big 4 firm
• 2 years PQE
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Previous experience supporting audits and year-end processes
• D365 F/O experience preferable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
