Altum Consulting are supporting a global media brand with its headquarters in New York, to recruit a Vice President Global FP&A. This is a critical role within the finance organization, responsible for groupwide FP&A deliverables, insightful analysis for strategic decision making, and a consistent framework to measure and enhance client profitability.

The Role

Reporting to C-Suite, the Vice President Global FP&A will lead consolidated planning, reporting, and analysis, while building a consistent approach to client profitability across regions. The role partners closely with local offices, accounting, and financial systems to deliver high quality insights and automated reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning all consolidated FP&A deliverables across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, ensuring accuracy and alignment with US GAAP.
• Managing the financial close from an FP&A perspective, including timely submission and presentation of consolidated financials, budgets, and forecasts.
• Building and maintaining financial models that support budgeting, planning, and strategic initiatives.
• Performing deep dive analysis including variance analysis, trends, and performance benchmarking, with clear, actionable insights for local and global leadership.
• Preparing and presenting reports to senior management and meeting all reporting deadlines.
• Updating standardized reporting templates and developing interactive dashboards in partnership with the Senior Manager, Financial Systems. Enable drill downs to account, client, and project levels, with clear KPIs and benchmark comparisons.
• Improving FP&A processes and tooling, identifying automation opportunities to streamline data collection and report generation.
• Leading and mentoring a distributed team of analysts. Set goals, provide coaching, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Client profitability reporting:

• Designing and implementing a consistent client profitability framework with clear metrics such as gross margin, net margin, return on client investment, and client lifetime value.
• Establishing robust data governance and validation procedures with Financial Systems, and refreshing processes as the business evolves.
• Championing data driven decision making across commercial and delivery teams.
• Partnering closely with accounting to ensure alignment between project accounting, ERP data, and profitability reporting.

The Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
• 7 plus years of progressive experience in client finance, FP&A, or accounting, with a strong focus on project accounting and client profitability.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP reporting requirements and how they intersect with FP&A.
• Experience with Power BI and project management or timesheet reporting systems is preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
