Senior Analyst, Private Equity (competitive salary & comprehensive benefits package)

Altum Consulting are a recruiting for a Senior Analyst to join an international private equity asset manager in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will be audit trained, highly proficient in Excel/Power BI and have experience operating in large international businesses.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with multiple teams across the organisation and gain exposure to the full private equity life cycle in a progressive, high-calibre environment.

Role:

• Act as a primary contact for internal and external auditors, ensuring effective communication and smooth audit processes.
• Conduct detailed reviews of investment fund financial statements and capital accounts, providing analysis and recommendations under US GAAP/IFRS.
• Advise teams on complex accounting treatments, disclosures, and control-related matters.
• Strengthen and maintain internal control environment (SoX)
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual portfolio reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity for investors.
• Manage large datasets using advanced Excel and Power BI making complex information clear to stakeholders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams/CFO on adhoc and strategic initiatives supporting business growth.

Requirements:

• Fully Qualified Accountant (CA/ACA/RA or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in audit, with strong experience in financial statement review.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI, with a proven ability to manage and analyse large datasets.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP)
• The ability to confidently present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Naturally positive and inquisitive; you'll find solutions not problems.
