Grants Finance Assistant

Are you a junior finance specialist with passionate about making a difference in the world? We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded global humanitarian NGO, to find a motivated and passionate Grants Finance Assistant. In this role you will work as part of the project finance team, directly contributing to life-changing projects around the globe.
As the Grants Finance Assistant, you\'ll support the finance team in managing grants, reconciling financial data, and ensuring smooth financial operations for global humanitarian programmes.
Your Responsibilities

• Grants Management: Allocate donor income, process fund transfers, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Reconciliation: Ensure grants, transfers, and expenditures are reconciled monthly, resolving discrepancies.
• Reporting: Prepare financial reports, donor invoices, and revenue recognition journals.
• Support Tasks: Manage project setups, bank account templates, and assist with audits and month-end deadlines.

What We\'re Looking For
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

• AAT qualified or part-qualified accountant.
• Advanced Excel skills (SUMIFS, IF, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Detail-oriented with experience managing large datasets
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Ideally some exposure to or basic understanding of grants finance
