Title: Financial Controller

Altum Consulting is excited to be partnered with a leading consumer brand who are currently searching for their new Financial Controller. Based in New York, our client operates in more than 50 countries and employs more than 15,000 people around the world. The business has grown significantly in recent years and have recently embarked on an ambitious new five-year plan.

Main responsibilities include:

• Lead, support and develop a team of 12, covering financial reporting, transactional finance, tax and treasury.
• Oversee the consolidation of financial data from multiple subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local statutory accounting requirements.
• Oversee timely delivery of financial reporting to various regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
• Lead the global annual audit and quarterly review process conducted by Big 4 accounting firms along with local audits across the globe.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency, working with the transformation team to implement these.

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across different international regions.
• Possess strong technical accounting and analytical skills, system literacy with intellectual curiosity and an eagerness to expand responsibilities over time.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience of working in a changing environment and delivering process upgrades.
• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or related field - CPA preferred.
