Commercial Finance Analyst

Altum Consulting are pleased to be partnered with a Global Media company to source a Commercial Finance Analyst to join the growing commercial finance team. This role will be instrumental in providing financial insights and support to the commercial teams, driving informed decision-making and contributing to the achievement of business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of financial analysis and a passion for partnering with commercial stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a key finance business partner to commercial teams (e.g., sales, marketing, product), providing financial analysis and support.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial stakeholders, understanding their business needs and challenges.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and analyse financial performance reports, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks.
• Prepare and present financial reports and presentations to commercial teams and senior management.
• Support the implementation and improvement of financial reporting tools.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Experience in a media or entertainment company
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial finance or financial analysis role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with financial modelling and forecasting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of financial reporting principles.
